You are correct. She is Tippi Degré. She was named after Tippi Hedren, but is not related to her in any way.

People are saying they think letting your kid have a beautiful, meaningful life-altering experience like Tippi's should be illegal.

I say... letting your kid grow up in suburbia with no appreciation for the world they live in, no appreciation for the luxuries they are given, and pressuring them into a life where they best that can do is be a cubicle jockey... THAT my friends, should be illegal.

Either the crocodile picture is a fake or her guardian(s) are guilty of criminal child endangerment.  Probably the former.  The idea that creating a situation in which the violent death of a child is the predictable natural result should be illegal is not contrary to the natural order or to the beauty of innocence -- it is part of the natural order, and designed to protect the beauty of innocence. 

The crocodile photo casts doubt on the whole series.

People in such countries should probably talk to Amazon for listing Tippi's book or Animal Planet for having made a documentary of her... after all, these pictures are obviously from published material that is or has been publicly available.

Afaik, Tippi is 17 years old these days and working to conserve the wild life in Africa. I feel people should focus on ways to support her rather than accuse her parents of having taken photos of her with wild animals. No wonder she didn't fit in the urban life and returned to Africa. It's great that someone cares and is trying to safe the planet.

You are an ignorant ass,  you think you know so much?  I have personally owned a 21 foot snake that was one of the most affectionate animals I have ever known, and I have known a lot of animals.  I went to college for exotic animal training and management, you sit in your chair in your city and think you are an expert because you watch croc hunter religiously?  You should keep your inexperience pie hole shut... you obviously have no right to comment on such things.

And to the rest of you clamoring about child pornography...have you ever said such a thing about a picture of African villagers?  It's only pornographic because she is white.  You should all make a concerted effort to really think before you communicate, stop wasting peoples time with your ignorant spouting. You shame humanity as a race.

Hi all --

Tippi is a wonderful, whole hearted, and well-rounded character.  I personally wish my future kids had such a wonderful experience and contribute to the betterment of this world.  I am very sure that her parents knew what they were doing with the wildlife posed for photography with Tippi.  For these focused on child pornography and child endangerment, kindly remove your bias and appreciate the beauty of nature and how our children should be more in touch with nature. 

For these wondering, I am an environmental Sciences and Biology teacher and strongly endorse wonderful photos like that.  It makes me sad when a kid says, oh I saw something with a long neck in the zoo, and is unable to spell GIRAFFE.  Most of our kids now know more about MTV than about our nature which is in a great danger.  So rather than blowing steam about pornography and endangerment, perhaps it is time to sponsor environmental causes and organizations.  Let's pick our battles wisely, for if we continue to battle, we will never get anything done.  It takes only one person to make a difference, for domino effect is truly happening.

Just shows how ignorant lots of you are..... First off, the bushman in Namibia are totaly living off the land and hunting is their main way to get food..... For your interest, they will chase an ostrich by foot untill the ostrich falls down tired and is easy to kill.... These guys run for up to 3 days non stop..... The reason Tippi is dressed or not dressed the way she is, is because she lived very much with the bush people who also dress the same way.
As far as animals are concerned, she is similar to Steve Irwin in that they can get very close to the animals without being a threat..... You say that crocs are dangerous and can never be tamed? well watch Steve Irwin swimming with the crocks while having 1 hand on the crocs back, well how did he do it?
If you live in Africa as I have for over 30 years now, then you will know that it can be done, and safely if done at the right times. Yes there is always a certain amount of danger with any animal this includes your cat or dog, but all animals are tameable to a certain extent....
Last year October I took a picture of a croc from 5 feet away without it even blinking an eyelid, It was at its best which is in the shallows of the water. I have been so close to other animals that I have been able to stroke them, I still have my fingers.....

Lets give Tippi a break, and love her for who she is and what she does.

And um, hi folks, those of you who are freaking out about her not having a top on - do any of you have daughters?  little kids like to run around without clothes on.  very young girls aren't always fond of shirts.  and as peter said - she is living the way her neighbors do.  The pictures are not presented in a sexual manner, her parents (THE PHOTOGRAPHERS) obviously don't intend to present it sexually even if your twisted minds are interpreting it that way.  Give her a break.

Crocs can be tamed. Haven't you ever seen a croc show in Thailand etc?
Those ones never crushed their tamer's head even when it came into their mouths.

The croc picture maybe fake. I dont know how Tippi went on that croc without dirty herself. Then I'm amazed by her hair cut. I know all these pictures pretty well but not this one. I think - everybody is creature of wild nature. We live in human society, she lives between animals and humans. Most of children, whoa lives in villages are not scared of wild animals. They are just part of nature as we are.
