Jackie, what did you mean by "shit"? I would like to know. All these photos are historical pictures! All the evens happened in Nanking (now called Nan Jing), China! It is true history! As a Chinese, I really don't understand why you commented it "shit"! I was been Nanking, and also visited the memorial museum at Rain Flower Stone in Nanking. I would like to suggest you have a visit too! If you are interested in history of that time, you can dig out a lot of fact and what Janpanese had done to Chinese soldiers and public when Japan invaded and occupied China! Not only holocast in Nanking,in China that Japanese had done, but also Japanese used alive Chinese people for the virus experiments, for biochemical weapon experiments, for a series of other beasts' kind of experiments...Francis Bacon (1561 ~ 1626) said in his "On Reading" that reading history could make one wise. Please spend some spare time to read some Chinese history if possible!
To HappyInSZ. I think i understand your feelings. If its wise to know history its also wise to learn from history and make appropriate changes.Just tell me what are you trying to do by putting these pictures over here? Hundreds of wars were fought in the past. Lot of cruel thngs were done. Just imagine if everyone starts thinking like you then this site will be filled with war pictures.Try to send the right message dude. HISTORY IS HISTORY, ITS PAST. Lets US become wise by learning lessons from this rather that putting these pictures here and growing hatred in the community. If you think you are making people wise by showing them these pictures from hsitory, then i am sorry to say you have failed big time.
Sushil,Why did I put the pictures here? As the 69 anniversary of Nanking Holocaust was coming, I had recalled that history and thought a lot! Why have we had better life now? Why have we had stable work and living circumstances? Why have we had spare time to travel around world safely? Why have we had benifits from now innovations and high-techs? Put it simple, why can we sit in front of computer and enjoy XIHALIFE here? All these is because we have had a peaceful circumstances in most places of the world, without war! Have you seen that a series of political and public events have happened in Japan in recent years? All the events apparently show that Japanese ambition is becoming not only stronger and stronger, but also more and more fearful! My intention of putting historic pictures here is not "growing hatred in the community", but to alert people of thinking and cherishing our peaceful lifes and not forgeting the history, to alert people that Japan possibly becomes militarism and militarist again, to alert people that Japan possibly invades and occupies other countries again, to alert people that Japan possibly brings another much bigger holocaust to other countries again. If that history occur again, can we enjoy our XIHALIFE here?I don't think you and people who love peace want a war, me neither! A peaceful world is what we look for!
Thanks!Dude thanks for the explanation. But slapping someone and then telling him "see it hurts right? slapping is a bad habbit! you should not slap" is not a good idea. You can write about things. It upto people to read or not. But pictures belong to a different category where one glance can keep that image in mind.Honestly saw your blog early morning and the whole day i was thinking of these things. When japan changed there history books last year there was lot of anguish in chinese community. I was in HK at that time so i have seen it with my own eyes. My japanese friends in HK felt a little insecuredAnd what you said is more on the political front. You know when wars are fought the acual reason behind the war is never know to common man. These are all top level politics that are never exposed. Common man suffers. Anyways i respect your feelings too. But i thought i should write my point of view too.
Sure, Sushil! No one can stop you writing your point of view! You can freely write anything you want and post it here.Honestly I value your comments very much. Thanks!
My very humble and personal reaction is that even if there were many wars and holocausts unfortunately long time before and after Nanjing ... and nameless actions from humans ( and the human is a wolf for the others ) with those undescriptible pictures I can remember that it could happen again and again (like in Rwanda recently) and in memory of all the people from Nanjing I must engage myself to make the world better day after day. I feel so profoundly sad seeing those pictures and for the chinese people and chinese girls and women who have been tortured, murdered, killed the only concrete action I want to do is to become better and better each day to change myself and bring peace in the world the time I will be there... I love you China !
To:HappyInSZI appreciate your information regarding this masacre. I think that any thing that we can learn from history is good. I started finding information about Nankink because I have a card of ran-flower stone slices htat have names under each with chinese symbols that I had translated. The card has a title of "China Nanking ran-flower stone rememberance. Is there anything you can tell me about this card with the stones? I know that some of the hideous crimes were commited at a place called rain-flower stone. Any information you can offer me will be greatly appreciated.
