These games are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I downloaded all the hour-long trials two days ago, then when I'd played them, I went onto Wild Games, where you get one free play game session for as long as you want, so that's what I have been doing for the last two days! In general, these are the best games I have ever played so far. So anyway, here's the lowdown...

CHOCOLATIER

It is the 1880's in the USA and you have been enlisted by Evangeline Baumeister to restore to her family name by rebuilding her chocolate empire. To do this, you must travel to all famous places around the world-everywhere from Rio de Janeiro to Sydney. When you visit each country, you must go to the markets and purchase all different ingredients, as well as visiting the other local establishments, in hope of gathering information. You must then go back to your factories, and then, in mini-game style, using specific machines, aim and fire the ingredients into the trays to make a certain amount of chocolate per week.
In a nutshell: Travel the world, collect ingredients, as well as information. There are some shady characters along the way who are not to be trusted...

CHOCOLATIER 2: SECRET INGREDIENTS

In the sequel to the first great game, the goals and objectives are much the same. In terms of plot, there are some marked differences, however.

It is the 1920's and Alexaandra Tangye, Evangeline's grandaughter has asked you to help her restore the once again floundering Baumeister Chocolate Empire.You must again travel around the world, to many different places than in the last game...with a major twist.
This time, you have to go to secret places, which you must unlock during the game, then bring each of the ingredients found there to your tasting laboratories. In the labs you concoct ahem, interesting chocolate creations, such as chocolate-covered ants which you can sell to make a fortune. In this game, you need to-the ingredients are a lot pricier than in the last one.
You must also foil Alexandra's crooked fiance's plans to take over the company!

THE GREAT CHOCOLATE CHASE...A CHOCOLATIER TWIST

Evangeline is once again the main character in this game. While chronologically set between the other two games in the 1890's, this game is different again.

True, you are a chocolatier and you are given different ingredients along the way, but this time you are running chocolate shops in remote locations. Therefore, you must cater to the whims [and TEMPERS!] of various customers.
Here, you serve everyone from a Sultan to an Aviatrix [femaile pilot], but don't expect them to stick around and chat! This is basically a "chocolate-coated" version of the much-loved Diner Dash. Enjoy!

(1) There is nothing to do but wait for fish that you can only get by
purchasing eggs. This is, by far, the hardest (and sometimes most
frustrating) part of the game… the waiting. Frankly, the having to wait
for certain fish via eggs is true no matter which route you follow to get
the magical fish. So, you’ll just have to be patient. If you can’t be
patient (sometimes waiting over a period of several days), this is not the
game for you. You may have to purchase eggs dozens of times, in fact, before
you get a single fish that you need. In order to keep purchasing eggs,
you’ll need to breed and sell other fish. Get rid of any fish that you
don’t need, since they’ll just be wasting space, otherwise. Keep
experimenting with breeding until you get a fish that sells for around
$20-$30. For instance, you can breed a ton of Golden Goldbulbs (Greenfin
Fatfish + Pink Beta), which sell for about $33 each. Even better, a Speckled
Leaffish (Twin-Fin Fruitfish + Orange Spotanus) sells for about $51. Doing
this will allow you to keep buying the eggs that you will require. Again,
there isn’t any way around this.... uhhhh... unless you go to changing hex
values, of course, but I'm not getting into that here.

(2) Don’t spend every last dime on eggs; reserve about $100 for
medicines. Breed more and build up your cash. If you spend all of your cash,
you won’t be able to purchase medicine to cure sick fish. If certain fish
die, you may have a devil of a time figuring out how to breed them again,
since the game does not keep track of what you’ve bred once that species
has sold and/or died.

(3) Once you begin breeding magic fish, don’t waste too much time
on raising and selling other fish. Raise a ton of the magic fish, instead.
The magic fish sell for big bucks and attract tons of customers. Also, when
you’re only keeping magic fish as breeders, you won’t take up so much
room in your tanks with less-profitable fish. You’ll want to re-set the
default prices of your magic fish before you sell them. Here are low-end
prices (if you keep them low-end, you’ll sell more and you’ll sell
quickly):

a. Greenfin Spotanus: $48 - $51

b. Speckled Leaffish: $100 - $125

c. Crimson Comet: $100 - $125

d. Oriental Goldbulb: $100 - $125

e. Orange Snooper: $85 - $95

f. Wasp Grouper: $120 - $130

g. Canary Fire-Arrow: $250 - $275

(4) You’ll probably want to keep two of every magical fish once
you’ve got them, so that you can continue to breed them. If you sell all
(or all but one), you’ll have to follow the whole breeding process again
in order to breed magical fish for big bucks.

(5) The aerator, the heater, the snail, the seahorse, and the magical
plants can make a significant difference in the health of your fish.
They’re worth purchasing.

(6) Once you’ve got the sixth magic fish (Wasp Grouper), make
certain that you don’t leave it in a tank where you are attempting to
breed specific fish. The Wasp Grouper is the Magic Fish of Mutation,
remember, so if he’s in the tank with your pregnant fish, you will not get
the babies that you’re expecting from your pregnant fish.

(7) The most difficult aspect of this game, other than figuring out
the breeding combinations and the waiting factor, is obtaining your
research. I suggest stacking up your money and purchasing all of your
research (food, environment, and advertising) before attempting magical fish
(past the second one, anyway). Otherwise, the fish that you need to breed to
make the magical fish will not survive in your tanks. I really believe that
getting your research out the way before attempting a bunch of fancy
breeding is key in this game.

(8) Purchasing a second tank allows for mass-breeding, which leads to
more money. Each tank holds only 21 fish.

(9) Isola fish never die of old age (supposedly, anyway). The age of
a fish isn’t years; it’s more like the age in hours.

(10) The music that seems so random apparently corresponds to an
event occurring with your fish. It could be a pregnant fish giving birth,
eggs hatching, a disease striking, starvation occurring, or a death
occurring. In some cases, it seems that none of these factors applies and
that the music is indicating age progression. If none of these explanations
applies, then the music must be just random.

(11) The weird “squeaky-swishing” sound that occurs sporadically
seems to just be the fish swimming around and does not seem to indicate an
event of any kind.

(12) If you absolutely, positively cannot wait around for fish to
hatch/grow, etc., then go to “Control Panel” (on a PC), then “Date and
Time” and set your computer’s time ahead. With the game on 2x speed,
setting the clock ahead 2 hours works great. A game set at normal speed
would probably require a clock setting of 3-4 hours ahead. Setting the
computer clock back seems to have no affect on the fish whatsoever. WARNING:
Be certain that you don’t have any sick/unhealthy/unfed fish before you
set your computer’s clock ahead. If you do have sick/unhealthy/unfed fish,
they’ll probably be dead once you set the clock ahead. You will NOT be
able to recover those fish by setting the clock back again.

Step
by step guide to get started successfully:
Drop the starter eggs into Tank 1. Go to the supplies area and
buy some common eggs for $160. Drop them into Tank 1 and wait for them to
hatch. If you want them to grow up quickly, you can set the game speed to
fast, but you'll have to check your fish often to make sure that they are
fed. They will grow up in less than 2 hours.

Once they are adults, try to
find two fish EXACTLY the same. You can breed them successfully. Their
babies will not lose health and die. If you can't find two fish exactly
alike, choose two fish that are very similar (the same type of fish - for
example Spotanus or Beta). If you breed these, even though their fins might
be different, they will probably live to be adults. If you don't get any
fish similar enough to breed successfully, you can always start a new game
and try again. It's important not to cross breed species early in the game,
because they will die and you won't have any money to buy more eggs.

If any of your fish get sick
early in the game, you should probably not spend money on medicine until you
have extra money. Once your new fish are grown up, you should move them to
the selling tank (Tank $), and click the Sell Fish button. You will see the
store screen. When a customer buys one of your fish the species, picture and
price of that fish will be displayed in the information area below the
store.

Keep breeding fish as described
above until you have enough money to buy a second tank. Tank 2 will give you
more room to breed fish and you will make money faster. Drag some of your
fish to Tank 2 and keep breeding the same fish to make enough money to
research tank improvements.

Remember to keep making money
by breeding fish and selling them. Once you have made enough money to
research Fish Environment, you will be able to breed more expensive species
of fish.

The subplot of Anna Gasteyer’s effeminate son was really very enjoyable. Short of wanting to adopt him, I admired his exuberance in his flamboyance that consistently contrasted with Larry’s lack of exuberance in absolutely everything. The boy was an interesting counterpart to the infamous young Larry in the “Mr. Softee” episode the week before. Two boys at very vulnerable stages in their youth are having assumptions made about their sexualities, when according to Susie in Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8, boys that age don’t even know what sexuality is. Yet, this subplot, as wonderful as it was, had stop-and-start characteristics that made this episode seem very normal to me, like this wasn’t the last episode of a much anticipated season of Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8 dvd boxset.
Larry making the violin sign to Jeff at Michael J. Fox’s fundraiser caused Mayor Michael Bloomberg (who made a funny little cameo at the end of this episode) to banish Larry from New York City. Can you even do that? Isn’t that a little abrupt? Who cares? Larry’s gone and the season can now end, just as abruptly, with Larry arguing with a Frenchman over his parking job on a technicolor back-lot more reminiscent of Disney World than Paris. Are we supposed to assume that Larry is now going to live in Paris with Leon until he gets kicked out of there too? What about Jeff and Susie? Will Larry ever go back to LA? I know we’re supposed to be left wanting more, but I think there’s a difference between wanting more and leaving us with Larry and Leon across the Atlantic, Jeff with a suppository up his bum, and Ana Gasteyer suddenly vanishing with her son into thin air in New York. I am still very eager for Season 9 of “Curb,” but I can’t help but look back at the splotchy, unresolved buy Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 8 dvd and ask, “Did I miss something, here?”
